Dear Supporter,
Sometimes, poverty can lead mothers to the heartbreaking decision to abandon their babies.
On our 50-year journey, we have witnessed many cases of abandonment, and we are determined to support as many families as possible and provide care for babies without an adult to take care of them.
In Spring, our partner Family Love met a remarkable family of six children. The mother, a single parent, is bravely overcoming incredible challenges to ensure a brighter future for her children. Living in a small, cozy room of just 9 square meters with her sister, she is determined to provide for her family despite the father being absent and currently in prison.
The family survives on child allowances and occasional earnings.In Roma families, children often face limited access to education, but this mother understands its importance and ensures all her children attend school.
During our first visit, she shared a poignant moment with us:
"There were days when I didn't know how to feed the children and was in such despair that I even thought about giving up the newborn, but now I thank God for the help."
