Technical Report- Installation of 300W Off-Grid Solar System in 30 houses

Every 30 houses in Mithrio Charran, Tharparkar Sindh, is installed with a 300W (Watt) Off-Grid Solar system providing continuous generation of electricity needed to run 10W DC (Direct current) LED light and 50W DC pedestal fan. As a result, the quality of livelihood of the residents of these houses has increased tremendously.
The technical report (attached) gives details of the design and specifications of the components used in these solar systems, why these remote rural areas of Sindh are viable for small off-grid type solar systems for electricity generation, and along with pictures of the installed RE (Renewable systems) in each house.

Let there be light! Bringing Light to Tharparkar

The people of Tharparkar, especially those living in remote villages do not have access to electricity - the fact that something which is basic, even fundamental, to how we are able to function and sustainably live, is not available for the people of Tharparkar is a sad reality which needed to be addressed.
And it was!
Network for Human and Social Development sent their Monitoring and Evaluation team to the villages Mithrio Suttar and Mithrio Charan with the solar panel installation team. The M&E Team had gone to ensure transparent audit of the work done, and to share the work done for the well being of the people of Tharparkar.
30 solar panels were installed in Mithrio Charan and Mithrio Suttar. These are solar powered, charging two batteries which will run one pedestal fan and one lightbulb per house.
The recipients deeply appreciated the efforts of NHSD in how they helped bring a significant change in their lives. And it was made possible because of the generous benevolence of our Patrons and Donors, as well as the Global-Giving team.

GLOBAL GIVING CONSOLIDATED REPORT

NHSD HAS SUCCESSFULLY CONSTRUCTED 20 HOUSES, 1 VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER, 1 SCHOOL AND 1 DISPENSARY IN MITHRIO CHARAN, TEHSIL CHACHRO, DISTRICT THARPARKAR. WE HAVE ALSO IDENTIFIED AND GEOTRACKED LOCATIONS IN WHICH THE CONCERNED FAMILIES RECEIVING THE SUPPORT WILL BE PROVIDED SUPPORT.
NHSD PLANS ON EXPANDING THE SUPPORT GIVEN TO THARPARKAR BY ADVOCATING AND COLLABORATING WITH DONORS AND PATRONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF WASH CABINS FOR 100 HOUSES, 10 VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTERS, 10 SCHOOLS AND 10 DISPENSARIES LOCATED IN MITHRIO CHARAN, MITHRIO SUTTAR, SANVRI JO PAR, JESSO JO PAR AND BHIJANI, TEHSIL CHACHRO, DISTRICT THARPARKAR. THE HOUSES HAVE ALREADY BEEN IDENTIFIED AND THEIR LOCATIONS HAVE BEEN GEOTRACKED.
