Global-Giving and NHSD has constructed 30 houses in Mithrio Charan and Mithrio Suttar in District Tharparkar. And these same houses now have light because of solar panels installed in the same 30 houses. Now they have a lightbulb and a pedestal fan. They are given these blessings, but we hope to expand this for tubewells and other residents of Tharparkar. We want to light up Tharparkar, and your donations will assist in making this possible.
Tharparkar has an issue of electricity availability as well as water shortage due to lack of water pump installation mechanisms. As a result, the people of Tharparkar are often suffering from water deficiency related diseases, as well as other malnutrition issues. Without the provision of electricity, especially keeping in mind the amenities associated with electricity that are mandatory in the cities, the people of Tharparkar will not have a sustainable source of livelihood.
NHSD has previously worked with Global-Giving in Tharparkar. Our consolidated report is already uploaded in which progress made in the region has been shared. 30 houses, 1 dispensary, 1 VTC and 1 dispensary, have been constructed using sustainable materials sourced from the village areas of Tharparkar. These same buildings with the support of Global-Giving, now have electricity. With the funds generated from this project, local water pumps and houses can now be given electricity.
The NHSD NBA (Need Based Assessment) will help provide a pre and post analysis of the situation in Tharparkar The cement block construction and solar panel installation guarantees that, with the climate change circumstances in the villages in Tharparkar will have electricity, ready and sustainable access to water, and at least some permanent location which could be a collection point for the people. Livelihood becomes sustainable and this means having healthier sources of nutrition too.
