For homebound older adults, LIFE ElderCare is a safety net that provides the community support & resources that enable them to age at home. Whether they need a healthy home-delivered meal, a ride to the doctor, a friendly visit, or fall prevention assistance – LIFE helps seniors stay strong in body, mind, and spirit.
A few months ago, we received a touching letter of appreciation from Margaret, the daughter of one of one of our Meals on Wheels clients. It reinforces just how much of a difference this program makes in the lives of older adult. Here's an excerpt:
"From the bottom of my heart, I am so thankful for all the food you are providing to my 90 year old father! He is fed daily with your diligent and reliable efforts. You have organized an amazing resource for the community, for which you should be proud.
Without your kind help, we would have to arrange a different living situation for my father - one that would not keep him at home. He loves being in his own home...thanks so much for all you do!"
And so from the bottom of my heart, I thank YOU for choosing to donate to our project and feed seniors in need. Your generous support helps us address elder hunger in our community, and helps them continue to live their best lives in familiar surroundings.
