A few years ago, Alvin’s neighbor found out that his fridge contained very little in the way of actual food and he was getting noticeably weaker. So she started talking to him about Meals on Wheels. He resisted for a year before he agreed to try it. Turns out he liked the food and he felt good eating a full healthy meal every day. And he enjoyed meeting the volunteers who brought him the food. Soon after, he signed up for an assisted ride to his dental appointment, then to the pharmacy. Our care coordinator linked him with a few other services and now Alvin is a regular part of the LIFE extended family.
This beautiful story - and hundreds more just like it - happens because of people like you. We could not do this work without your support.
