82 of you wonderful Global Giving donors have contributed to our project, and now we are 82% to meeting our goal. That means you have served 1,025 meals! How cool is that?
Every day we deliver nutritious and delicious meals to 200 homebound elderly. It's quite simple, it's very effective, and it's a joy to do. Just look at those smiles shared by Meals on Wheels volunteers Sandra and Debbie and the delightful Wanda. Looks like Wanda partook in pasta with veggies, cantaloupe, a whole wheat roll, and milk. Yummy and good for her too!
Meals on Wheels is so important because our elderly neighbors need to eat nutritious food to stay healthy. It keeps them living and thriving in their own homes, and out of the hospital or a skilled nursing facility.
And we make it easier by bringing healthy food right to their home. Just as important, a volunteer makes sure they’re doing ok, and… the homebound get at least one friendly face to see that day.
Your donations have brought smiles to our faces, and especially to the beautiful faces of 1,025 elderly in our community. How about you? Smiles all around!
With gratitude and happiness,
Patricia
