To provide access to outstanding diagnostic and specialized education for children and adolescents with autism. When a child develops the skills to become more independent and autonomous, his family dynamics get better; The professionals that serve them -and their families- benefit from the opportunity to work and thrive. As a result, the well-being of all parties involved improves.
Venezuela's economic conditions have further deteriorated. Most transactions and purchases are dollar-based, and the cost of living has risen - estimated at 47% in US$ for the calendar year 2022 - Financial support has become the decisive enrolling factor for as many as 90% of those applying and participating in our in-person programs. The prevalence of autism is 1/36. Government-supported or financed programs are very scarce. How do we ensure the well-being of our families today and tomorrow?
We have increased our diagnostic capabilities to facilitate and develop each student's independence and autonomy. We are operating at total capacity in our in-classroom psychoeducational program. To ensure sustainability, we continue hiring and training more teachers and psychologists, developing a new generation of specialists in the area, and other / younger talent within Autismo en Voz Alta. In 2023-2024 our goal is to serve 600 families.
Continue to operate, provide, and introduce educational services to address the developmental needs of those with autism, with access to need-based financial support. We are committed to moving forward, learning, and improving. We seek to develop the skills of children/teens with autism and their families to facilitate their effective integration into society. For many children with autism, we are the only educational alternative in Venezuela. Your trust and unwavering support motivate us.
