Less Privileged Elders Need Care & Meal Support

CHHASE, our staff and our beneficiaries (Neglected elders) are thanking you for your generous timely support to help the needy elders. Because of your generous support, we are able to look after the helpless elders without any starvation and struggle.

Because of your generous support, we are able to provide nutritious food to the neglected elders. we are able to distribute Sarees, blankets, , milk, fruits, biscuits to our old age home and neglected elders. Our neglected elders feel that they are no more neglected, feel they have someone to help them because of the services we offer. They all are happy and healthy and they conveyed their thanks to you and also they said that they are remembering you in their prayers to live long happily.

Greetings from CHHASE

First of all we thank you very much to recognize our charity as a most Effective Nonprofit Organization for the year 2024 by GlobalGiving Foundation USA (Almost 10 years continuously.

We have 57 neglected elderly persons under our care who are suffering from starvation and ill-health in the project area. The age group of these old people is 65 to 80 years. They used to beg on the streets to feed themselves. Their pathetic condition called out to us to feed them with nutritious meals in order to keep them healthy. Most of them are anemic because of lack of food and medical care. Most of them do not have a home to go to and instead sleep at neighbor's houses, school verandas, and community halls and at bus stop.

We have been serving these unfortunate elderly persons by donating every day nutritious meal with your generous donations to charity. We have been established the old age care center with gracefully maintained kitchen to serve the nutritious meal for the old age women. These women are unfortunate due to different reasons. The sons and daughters left their parents at home and migrated to work place as daily wage laborers where ever the work allots by mason at construction sites. They become as migrant laborers in different cities. Due to age concern old age persons are not able to work as their health not permits them to work anymore and living became difficult for them to earn one meal and some of them are not having children & they are living in thatched homes. Many of the older people don’t have huts even.

This is our prestigious initiative for the past 12 years, to serve meal for unfortunate old age people. We have identified these 57 older people, age group of 60 to 90 years in Tiruvallur district and donating nutritious meals for the helpless old age women. Every day meal includes steam cooked rice, dhal, sambar, curd or buttermilk, pickle, seasonal fruits. Every festive season, we donate clothes saris, blouses. Recently we have celebrated Easter Festival, We celebrate all the festivals and we make happiness among all the poor elderly people. Elderly parents are very happy and living with dignity. With this nutritious meal program their health has been improved a lot. Thank you for donating meal for the empowerment of poor old age people.
