The Shalom Center at Cedar Village is 1 of only 12 Elder Abuse Prevention Centers and Shelters in the county and the only one in Ohio, providing a safe place for victims age 65 and older to heal. Residents of the Shalom Center are provided necessary services- medical, psychological, spiritual, and legal- throughout the stay. Individuals are encouraged to safely and fully integrate into the community and take advantage of all services and programs Cedar Village has to offer to ensure the highest quality of life and overall well being during their stay.
Cedar Village, a Nonprofit long term care retirement community, meets the critical need of providing care & support to victims of elder abuse. Our goal is to raise awareness, educate our community, encourage early intervention, and provide a safety net for vulnerable older adults. Through working collaboratively with community agencies, law enforcement, hospitals, and many others, we strive for elder abuse prevention and provide shelter for eligible seniors, aged 65 and older.
