Rio Contra Corona Donation
Rio Contra Corona Donation

Thanks your donation, Instituto Ekloos is supporting the development of social impact initiatives, enabling the professionalization of non-profit organizations, by mentoring social leaders that may create quality projects with a bigger social impact.

Over the past three months, we have continued with three acceleration programs that seek to develop the capacity to manage quality projects for 32 organizations, including NGOs and Social Business.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we reorganized our activities and adapted them to the virtual meeting model, ensuring that acceleration programs would not be interrupted and organizations would continue with our assistance.

In addition to remotely continuing our acceleration activities and programs, the Instituto Ekloos mobilized to create the Rio Contra Corona movement, in order to donate basic food baskets and cleaning and personal hygiene products to people in a situation of social vulnerability. By the end of June, more than 200 thousand families in more than 200 communities in Rio de Janeiro had already benefited. All thanks to the help of more than six thousand donors. And the basket donations for these families keep happening.

Understanding the great challenges imposed by the pandemic, in June we also launched a special call for proposals to identify and support initiatives to deal with the impacts of Covid19. This announcement aims to boost 16 NGOs and Social Business in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo as of August. There will be 5 months of remote mentoring in strategic management, business and innovation areas.

Also, as a way to minimize the impacts of the coronavirus crisis, we created the Festival UP! intended for artists who were unable to make their presentations. Through the Festival UP! portal, artists can send their videos with a homemade presentation and are paid with a symbolic fee. By the end of June / 20, the festival platform had more than 1000 artists from the areas of music, dance, theater, literature and humor contemplated and more than 800 thousand contents views.
