Instituto Ekloos, through your donation, is supporting the development and innovation of social impact initiatives, enabling the professionalization of non-profit organizations, by mentoring social leaders that may create high quality projects with a bigger social impact.
In the second quarter of 2019, four acceleration programs are being executed, totaling 68 organizations supported. Next, you can see three highlights of this quarter:
Hi Hat Girls
Hi Hat Girls is an initiative developed by female drummers to generate drum music experimentations to girls over 7 years old. The free monthly workshops happen in 7 different Brazilian cities and allow girls to finish ever reunion knowing at least how to play a whole song. It also aims to softly break gender stereotypes through musical experimentation.
The initiative counts with the work of a dedicated and experienced team that is aware of the transformative of the music. The no charged activity, in other hand, allows a diverse and inclusive environment.
Until today, more than 500 girls and women already participated of Rio de Janeiro’s workshops, that benefit 180 women annually. In the future, the idea is to have weekly workshops to attend 720 beneficiaries per year.
Hi Hat Girls is supported by Ekloos through an acceleration program and it already conquer prizes such as Heloneida Studart de Cultura prize from Assembleia Legislativa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (ALERJ) and Active Citizens Prize from the British Council.
