IBB ZOO EMERGENCY RESCUE MISSION, Yemen

Dear Valued GlobalGiving Donors and Wildlife Champions,

Because of you, vulnerable animals at Ibb Zoo have a fighting chance to survive, recover, and thrive. Your extraordinary compassion and generosity are renewing hope for animals struggling to survive amid Yemen’s prolonged humanitarian crisis. Through your kindness, hunger is being met with nourishment, suffering with compassionate care, and uncertainty with the promise of a safer future.

On behalf of the Support Yemeni Society Foundation for Development (SYS), we extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering commitment to our project, “IBB ZOO EMERGENCY RESCUE MISSION, Yemen.”

Your donations are more than financial contributions—they are lifelines for animals that cannot speak for themselves. Every act of generosity helps provide essential food, clean water, veterinary care, and protection, giving these vulnerable creatures a better chance of survival and a life free from unnecessary suffering.

Your Generosity in Action: Protecting Vulnerable Animals at Ibb Zoo

As Yemen continues to endure the devastating consequences of prolonged conflict and economic hardship, conditions at Ibb Zoo remain increasingly challenging. Shortages of essential food, veterinary medicines, and adequate animal care facilities continue to threaten the health and well-being of its vulnerable animals.

Yet, because of your compassion and generosity, hope remains alive at Ibb Zoo.

Thanks to your continued support, the Support Yemeni Society Foundation (SYS) team remains actively engaged in protecting and caring for the zoo's animals. During the reporting period, our team carried out several important activities:

• Providing Essential Veterinary Supplies: Distributing medicines and vaccines to support animal health, prevent diseases, and improve veterinary care.
• Strengthening Animal Welfare Awareness: Conducting two awareness-raising campaigns for zoo workers to promote responsible animal care, hygiene, and improved welfare practices.
• Promoting a Safer and Cleaner Environment: Distributing educational posters encouraging animal protection, proper sanitation, and the maintenance of a clean and healthy zoo environment.

These achievements are possible because of you. Your contributions are helping transform compassion into meaningful action, providing essential support to animals whose survival and well-being depend on continued care.

The Need Remains Urgent—Your Support Can Save More Lives

Despite these encouraging efforts, the needs at Ibb Zoo remain overwhelming. Many animals still require reliable food supplies, essential medicines, veterinary treatment, and safer, more humane enclosures. Improvements to animal facilities, cage conditions, sanitation systems, and visitor amenities are also urgently needed to create a healthier and more sustainable environment.

Your continued generosity can help bridge these critical gaps and give vulnerable animals a better chance of survival.

On behalf of the SYS team and the vulnerable animals your generosity helps protect, thank you for standing with us during these difficult times.

Your kindness is more than a donation—it is a promise of compassion, protection, and hope for animals that cannot ask for help themselves.
