This project aims to rescue more than 100 endangered animals at Ibb Zoo, Yemen from extinction. Lions, Striped Hyenas, Sacred Hamadryas Baboons, Camels, Horses, Falcons, Hawks, Vultures, geese, and Ducks chicks are dehydrated, under-weight, depressed and in pain because of their lack of cage hygiene and space. SYS' Team will provide these animals with the necessary life essentials like food, water, hygiene, humane enclosures, vitamins, and medical care.
The ongoing war in Yemen has caused catastrophic impacts on all aspects of life in Yemen. Animals in the Ibb Zoo like Lions, Striped Hyenas, Sacred Hamadryas Baboons, Camels, Horses, Falcons, Hawks, vultures, geese, and Ducks are suffering because of their lack of food, vitamins, cage hygiene, and space. " How can we possibly abandon these desperate Lions, Striped Hyenas, Ocelot, Sacred Hamadryas Baboons, Arabian Caracal, Camels, left to starve at defunct Ibb Zoo in the midst of a brutal war?
SYS Organization will provide these animals with the necessary life essentials like food, water, hygiene, humane enclosures, vitamins, and medical care. This project aims to rescue these captive animals from imminent extinction. We will also conduct an awareness-raising program about the importance of these rare animals.
This project will work to create sustainable solutions for the miserable situation in the Ibb Zoo. Besides, many zookeepers and professional workers at the zoo will be trained to deal with these animals in a compassionate and professional way. This project is also sponsored by OWAP-Animal Rescues.
