Thanks to the support of GlobalGiving, all partners and donors, from October to December 2022, Let's help provided 115 lonely elderly people with medicines and food packages. We would like to note that the grocery baskets consisted of the most commonly used and high-quality products, and the weight of one grocery basket ranged from 20 to 25 kg. Such a set is enough for 1.5-2 months of a pensioner's life and allows them not to worry about where and how to buy food in such a difficult time.
The food parcel contains: oil and vinegar, various cereals, pasta, flour and yeast, salt and sugar, canned meat and fish, canned peas and corn, spices and tomato dressing for borscht, sweets. We also add household chemicals to the kits for the elderly, as there is a huge shortage of detergents and laundry detergent in many of the settlements where we deliver humanitarian aid.
Every time we send humanitarian aid, we receive joyful feedback from our beneficiaries and words of gratitude for the help. Each time we see a pleasant surprise at the huge amount of aid and products that the elderly really need. We are very happy that with the support of GlobalGiving we are able to provide truly huge and high-quality assistance to the elderly.
During this period, we have provided 215 elderly people (mostly in Kherson, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Kyiv regions) with such long-awaited food packages and essential medicines.
In Kherson alone, our volunteers delivered 50 food parcels and 64 units of medicines. They were traveling through the de-occupied and not yet fully demined areas, putting themselves in danger, but realized that people were waiting for them.
To deliver the medicines to the village of Zolota Balka in Kherson Oblast, the guys had to take a detour because it was dangerous to go directly.
The total amount of assistance provided during this period is UAH 188,905.
We continue to help those in need - the most vulnerable people in Ukraine. And we are extremely grateful to you for making a huge contribution to Ukraine's victory and to the decent life of the elderly.
