This project provides 480 bedridden elderly people in 12 regions of Ukraine with diapers and hygiene products per year. We help seriously ill people who are unable to take care of themselves, maintain their dignity, cleanliness, and avoid infections. The donations cover the basic daily need for diapers - 2 per person.
In 12 regions of Ukraine, 480 bedridden elderly people in geriatric nursing homes need diapers, urological pads and diapers every day. Since 2015, our foundation has been systematically helping tens of thousands of elderly people in 127 institutions, but the state often does not cover even the basic norm - 1 diaper per day, while at least 3 are needed. Without hygiene products, they suffer from pressure sores, infections and loss of dignity.
The Let's Help Foundation has been purchasing medical equipment and hygiene products and delivering them to 127 geriatric nursing homes for 10 years. As part of this project, we will purchase 350,400 XL diapers (3 per person per day) to provide 480 bedridden people in 12 regions with daily diapers. This will significantly reduce the risk of pressure ulcers, infections, and improve the physical and mental health of the residents.
Our 10 years of experience in geriatric care facilities shows that hygiene is critical to the quality of life of the elderly. By providing regular diaper supplies, the project will improve health, prevent complications, and maintain the dignity of the elderly. It will also increase the efficiency and morale of the staff at the retirement centers and set an example of sustainable care that other communities can follow.
