We are actively working on the program "Addressal assistance to single elderly people", within the framework of which we involve various organizations in obtaining funds for the purchase of food kits, hygiene products and medicines for low-income old women in the most remote villages and settlements. where people were under occupation or are in an area close to active hostilities.
We tried our best to send food kits and medicine to those needy old ladies who really need it. The sets included various cereals, pasta, canned meat and fish, oil and many other products. Some old women, when they received food, said that it would be enough for them for several months, and they had not received such significant help for a long time! Our team and volunteers delivered aid to 128 lonely elderly people in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Chernihiv and other regions of Ukraine.
Once, when we brought a grocery set to the Kyiv region to a grandmother who is almost completely deaf and was directly occupied by Russian troops for more than a month, she tried to give the cookies we bought for her to a volunteer girl as if it were her own granddaughter, it just broke our hearts. At that moment, we understood one thing - a grandmother always remains a grandmother, no matter what troubles, difficulties or trouble befalls her, she will always think and take care of the younger generation, because it is in her heart, it is in her soul...
We are incredibly grateful to each of you, to everyone who once or constantly donates funds to help lonely old women, because it is thanks to all of you and each one of us that we can make the lives of these people a little better, give them a little joy and faith that they are not abandoned and indifferent.
We still have a lot of work to do, because the cold winter is coming, the cost of living is getting more expensive, and the number of needy grandparents is constantly increasing. Therefore, every donation, big or small, is important to us, because all of them together will add up to a significant amount for the purchase of such necessary help!
