Empower&EducateYouths For global Climate Action

It said  that youths are leaders of tomorrow. It is therefore imperative that educating and empowering youths globally need the attention of the global society  to ensure that the above saying is realized.

EARN's initiative was meant to train and emower youths in oil bearing  community, Omoku that had suffered severe oil spill disasters with loss of livelihoods.

We in EARN want to train the  youths on oil spill management and control, fishing and farming to equip them with new skills to prevent them from dangerous oil bunkering ,oil theft abd other criminal acts due to joblessness. 

But the project has not visibly attracted the attention of supporters and donors.

We in EARN have started rebranding with nonprofit website portal  https://earnnetwork.org to draw more  visibility and hope our efforts will yield the desired result. 

We appeal to our partner, GlobalGiving to continue to give us support to achieve our goal. 

 Empower and educate youths for global climate action was created by Environment Aware And Restoration NETWORK ( EARN) to educate youths in oil producing areas of Nigeria Niger Delta region where activities of burning of crude oil openly are pervasive.

The community and people of Omoku,in Rivers state have  lost their means of livelihoods to incessant oil spill disasters and the youths ad a result have taken to criminal activities of stealing and bunkering of crude oil to cook it for petrol,diesel and other Petroleum products to make a living.

There is no question any more that the build-up of Greenhouse Gases in the atmosphere causes and exacerbates climate change and warming 

EARN is registered to contribute to raising environmental awareness about oil pollution and climate pollution in the impacted communities with a view to ameliorate the impacts and suffering of the people and victims of oil pollution. 

EARN wants to train 50 youths to depart from inflaming climate change and empower them with critical and practical skills in farming , fishing and oil spill management  and control that  can enhance and improve their employability and  quality of life ,security and peace in their communities , the region and Nigeria. 

The project since created has not as important as it is generated the desired support and we in EARN will relentlessly continue to make our ask for support to liven up the project expectation and impacts.

The youths when employed will become assets to themselves, the nation and the world at large.This  project can also break the already bad cycle of poverty in Nigeria.
