The project was created boldly to promote and enhance public education on climate change .
The project aims to to train 50 youths from Omoku ,oil-rich community in Rivers state, Nigeria devastated by incessant oil spills and burning of crude oil that has exacerbated climate change in the Niger Delta region
.The training aims to equip youths with skills on oil spill management and control and tto provide alternative sources of income for the youths instead of burning crude oil illegally , an act known as bunkering.
The Environment in Niger Delta region has tremendous amounts of carbon dioxide and other climate change causing emissions due to open burning of crude oil.
We in EARN expectted immediate action, support and donations but that have not happened
.We feel that we are still on course and trajectory of hope is unwavering.
We are making all necessary efforts to implement our projects including this one in 2026
