Football connection with Sarah Gregorious

Sarah Gregorius, a national football player from New Zealand visited Asharan kids and played foot ball with them. She also donated foot ball equipments to kids. This was a memorable experience for them and fist exposure for most of them. Sarah plays football for the New Zealand Women’s National Team, and she is passionate about helping out communities and schools play and enjoy football.

Children in need of long term care

Yash and Honey got seperated from the rest of the family after the death of their mother, Their father left the house and is not traceble.  The kids were under parental neglect. They are 4 siblings. All of them are placed in separate institutions as per their age. Yash and Honey, being the youngest are placed in Asharan. These children need long term shelter, care , education and mentoring. We need monetary help to give round the clock shelter and care for more such children.

Asharan Orphanage, HOPE foundation, Delhi was started in 1997 to give care and protection to young children who have no one else in their lives. Since then we were able to care for 667 children between the ages of 0 to 10 years including children with special needs with all your help.

Sharad is two and a half years now. He was seperated from his parents at birth. Because of his prematurity at birth, he had to be hospitalised for about 4 months to recover. When he had enough stamina and strenth to survive, he was brought to Asharan orphanage but his development was delayed. No family has come forward to adopt him because of his special need. We are hoping and praying for a family for him. Sharad had weak legs which has improved with physiotherapy. His speech is delayed. He is receiving speech therapy for it. He is very active. His main entertainment is to climb where ever he could reach his hands. He would better develop in a family setting with proper care.
