Abandoned newborn found his forever family
An abandoned new born baby Govind (Name changed) who came to Asharan has recovered from his neonatal jaundice and lower respiratory tract infection. He had to be hospitalized twice during this short period. He has been blessed with a loving adoptive family. We are happy for Govind’s forever family where he will receive all the love and care that he needs.
We are grateful to all of you who are supporting the cause of the neglected and the abandoned children. They can look at the future with hope because of your generosity.
Caregivers too faced challenges
Few of the caregivers also went through some challenges. One of the staff lost her son, Two others underwent surgeries for kidney stone and hernia.
The staff and children are benefiting from the yoga classes that were started in the month of May 2023. We are grateful to you for advising and sponsoring a yoga teacher for the children and the staff who cares for the children day and night in shifts inspite of their own aches and pains.
Needs:
Asharan Orphanage is a program of HOPE foundation, a charitable organization in India since 1991. Asharan was started in 1997 to give care and protection to young children who are abandoned, orphaned and lost. Our aim is to reach out to the children before the streets get to them.
Asharan has cared for 776 children since 1997. We provide round the clock shelter care, protection, education and medical care for the children between the ages of 0 to 6 years. So far, we have rehabilitated 226 orphan children through adoption into great families, and have reunited 362 lost children to their biological families.
Many of you have played an important role in caring for the orphan and lost children by donating and partnering with us. May you be blessed in increasing measures for the love and kindness you have shown to these beautiful children
