Give Care & Shelter to 70 Orphans in Delhi Yearly

Asharan children celebrated few special days during this period.

-          They celebrated ‘International tiger day’ and learned about tigers through craft activities.

-           Independence Day was celebrated by kids dressing up like the freedom fighters and putting up a small play.  

-          On the day of ‘Raksha bandhan’ festival, children tied Rakhi (bracelet) on each other’s hands and had special meal. 

-           Diwali was celebrated with sweets, lights and pollution free crakers. 

-           On the 'Children's day', kids cut a cake and  had games, music and dance. 

-           Six children celebrated their birthdays. Asharan’s friends Muskan baked birthday cakes for them as per the kids' colour                 and flavor choices. Another friend Ms. Garima decorated the place with colorful balloons for each one..

Admissions

Asharan received four more infants during this period. They were provided with medical care and round the clock care and monitoring. Few of the children suffered from fever. They are well now. Asharan also received two todlers who needed  special care because of their malnourishment and severe injuries. They are provided with special care and hospitalization as needed..  

Activities and support

Special need children are receiving physiotherapy. Yoga classes are conducted twice a week. We are grateful to all the sponsors from GlobalGiving for supporting kids’ for their school fees, medical tests, medicines, infant food, diapers, groceries, stationaries, care giving, etc, 

School going children are happy to be promoted to the next class. They are learning numbers, reading and writing Hindi and English languages.
