Awareness is a Key to Stop HIV/AID

HIV/AID village workshop
HIV/AID village workshop

Thanks for your recent generous gift to Prevent HIV-AID through Awareness in South Sudan project. Your commitment to help the needy get out of poverty is really appreciated by our board of trustees and those who will benefit most - children and Moms!

This hard contest against HIV-AID has proven educative and informative.  To talk about HIV, and sex issues openly was illegal in Omilling due to cultural belief before this project.  To do HIV testing voluntarily was also not possible, suspects kept away, and most were discriminated before this project.

Our hard contests opened Omilling society, and villagers now are talking freely about HIV, AID, sex, and  condoms. Also suspects are not discriminated as before. Between January and March 2013, four (4) village workshops were held, and a drum of petrol was purchased to power Land Rover for field outreach. Approximately 200 villagers, 10 medical staff, and a number of school pupils took part in the event.

The beneficiaries are eager to see this project progressing. They need your help to keep sustaining the campaign to change the negative attitudes against HIV/AID and the victims.

Until this project is fully funded, we will be sending you quarterly field reports about our work. You will get to know what your donation has helped impact, what we have achieved.
