Help Mary take her first steps

The Kyian Foundation sincerely thanks you for your continued support and trust. Thanks to your generosity, Mariyka was able to complete another important rehabilitation course, marking a new step forward in her development and bringing her closer to a more independent life.

This course was individually tailored to meet Mariyka’s specific needs and included physical therapy to improve motor skills, therapeutic massage to reduce muscle tension, speech therapy to support communication, sensory integration sessions to enhance her perception of the surrounding world, corrective developmental activities to improve attention and interaction, as well as physiotherapy procedures aimed at improving her overall condition, reducing spasticity, and stimulating muscle activity.

As a result of the rehabilitation, we are already seeing encouraging progress. Mariyka has become more active and engaged with her surroundings, her coordination has improved, and she demonstrates greater emotional stability. She responds more consistently when addressed, has begun producing new sounds and attempts to communicate, and her movements have become more confident.

Mariyka’s mother shares her impressions after completing the course:

Thanks to the generous support of donors through the GlobalGiving platform, Maria has recently completed another rehabilitation course that became an important step forward in her development.

Maria lives with cerebral palsy and spastic tetraparesis. For her, regular rehabilitation is not just treatment - it is a real opportunity to learn new skills, strengthen her body, and move closer to a more independent life.

This new rehabilitation course included a , :

• physical therapy to improve strength, posture, and coordination,

• massage therapy to reduce muscle spasticity and improve mobility,

• speech therapy to stimulate communication and sound production,

• sensory integration sessions to help Maria better perceive and respond to the world around her.

All sessions were individually planned according to Maria’s needs and current abilities.

We are happy to share encouraging progress:

• Maria has become more active and engaged during sessions and at home.

• She shows better control of her movements and feels more confident in her body.

• Her attention and emotional stability have improved.

• She is producing more sounds and reacting more actively to people and her environment.

Each small achievement is a big victory for Maria and her family.
