Initiative Update

As referenced in our previous report from four months ago, our focus has remained steadfast on bolstering the hygiene practices of students at Kanvilli Nuriya Primary School. We are pleased to share that since the last update, there have been no alterations in the status of our efforts. However, we are eager to highlight the continued significance of our initiative and the strides we aim to make.

Previous Endeavors and Achievements

In the previous academic year, our team successfully ensured a consistent supply of soap to Kanvilli Nuriya Primary School, allowing students to meet essential hand-washing requirements. Our emphasis on providing training, especially for girls, has yielded positive results, fostering healthier habits and nurturing a hygienic environment.

Expanding Our Reach: The Need for Continued Support

Our mission to extend this impactful initiative to additional schools and broaden our soap production capacity remains steadfast. While our dedication has yielded promising results, we still require additional financial support to fulfill our aspirations. To this end, we aim to raise $10,000 to further our cause.

Since our last communication, we have managed to secure a total of $220 through our efforts on Globagiving. This sum stands as a testament to the generosity of our supporters, but regrettably, it falls short of our targeted goal.

As mentioned in our previous report, the focus of our initiative has been to assist students at Kanvilli Nuriya Primary School in improving their hygiene practices, particularly by providing girls with training. We successfully ensured that the school had an adequate supply of soap to meet the hand-washing requirements during the previous academic year.

However, in order to expand our reach to additional schools and produce a larger quantity of soap, we still require additional funding. Our goal is to raise $10,000, and I am pleased to inform you of the progress we have made so far. Through our persistent fundraising activities, we have managed to raise a total of $220 on Globagiving.

The programme assisted students at Kanvilli Nuriya Primary School improve their hygiene after providing girls with training. The school had enough soap to cover everyone's hand-washing requirements for the previous academic year. Funding is still required for Rural Literacy Solutions to expand to other schools and make more soap. We have raised $220 so far, which is less than our $10,000 goal. To fund this initiative, we are still doing a lot of effort to raise money. So, in order to expand the initiative, we are requesting extra funding. We thank you for the continued support. After piloting the project at Kanvilli Nuriya Primary School . We can say the project has helped improved the habit of washing hands with soap among students of Kanvilli Nuriya Primary School since the project was implemented. Students in the school now have enough soap for their hand washing needs in the school for the academic year and we are still on course to roll out the project in 10 other schools come the next academic year. So far we have raised  $220 of our target of $10000 to make the project a success in our targeted schools and we are still appealing for more donors to come onboard to make the project a success. Quick project update: After a successful pilot of our liquid soap making project at Kanvilli Nuriya Primary school.The hygiene of students of Kanvilli Nuriya Primary has now improved as there is soap for washing their hands while in school. Currently the project is stil in the fundraising stage to expand to 10 other partner schools in the kumbungu and sagnarigu district of northern Ghana. We need $10000 to make the project a success. So far we have raised $220 and we are still short of $9780 to make the project a success.  We are still appealing for more donations to make the program a success.
