Gloria wants to be a teacher
YOU are changing lives for girls like Gloria!
Gloria's father died when she was two years old. He had been sick for years and they didn't know that he had HIV/AIDS until after he had died. While grieving for the death of her father, Gloria and her five siblings learned that their mother also had the terrible illness.

Fortunately, their mother was able to get treatment she needed, she was able to continue working, and she was able to pay for Gloria’s older brother to get through Primary 4 in school. However, when it came time to send Gloria to high school that is when she passed on leaving her not even recognizing her face.

Gloria dreamed of being a Teach but she would never be able to reach her dream if she couldn't go to high school. Then she discovered Mama Africa the voice Uganda Project. Gloria applied and was given a sponsorship to attend school.
Because of YOU, Gloria is now in school.
The more opportunities YOU give to girls like Gloria, the faster things will change for girls in Uganda and throughout the region!

After your parents died, you weren't sure if anyone would ever believe in you the way your parents had. But now you know someone does. And somehow that helps you run a little bit faster, jump a little bit higher, and work a little bit harder to reach your dream. Knowing that someone is standing beside you makes everything feel a little bit easier

 Mama Africa The Voice Uganda is a christian Humanitarian organization founded by Winnie Kyewalabye in the year 2009 with the mission of bringing hope with love to meeting the spiritual and physical needs of vulnerable children and women in the slums of kosovo and rural areas of Kalule,luwero district in Uganda, through strategic partnership, Desciplepling and undertaking specialized and sustainable child focused initiatives."(For every child, life in all its fullness”)

You'd seen shoes before but you'd never had a pair of your own. Your teacher smiled at you as brushed the dust off your feet and pulled the socks up all the way to yours knees. They feel tight and warm but, before you can decide if you like it or not, she slips the shoes--your shoes--on your feet.
The bunny runs around the tree and goes into the hole and, before you know it, you're standing up in your first pair of shoes. At first it's strange but you notice that the stones don't hurt your feet anymore. You can run faster and jump without worrying about cuts or bruises. 
Even though you're young, you know these shoes mean something more than what they seem. It means someone cares about you from your head all the way down to your toes.

 Every one of YOUR nursery student goes through an experience like this when they begin school. It might be the day they receive their first pair of shoes, the day they put on their first school uniform, or maybe when they receive their first pencil in class. Because YOU have given to this project, YOU have given a moment like this to a child who desperately needed it.

Faridah is one of YOUR primary students at Divine Primary School. Her favorite color is blue and she loves to sing. But most of all she loves to go to school. Every day she wakes up in the morning, puts on the shoes and the white and blue school uniform and Back pack YOU bought her and begins her long walk to school.  As she walks to school, carrying the books YOU gave her, she dreams about her future.
She dreams of walking at her high school graduation just like your pioneer students did in December. Seeing them succeed gives her hope!
In just 8 years, Faridah will have graduated from high school and will be ready to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher.  She'll never forget the generosity and love YOU have shown her.
