The project has continued to benefit orphaned pupils and their guardians. In the months of February and march 10 pupils were supported through provision of 3 pairs uniforms and shoes, to ensure they felt part of other pupils as they did not have the uniforms and shoes before. The 150 households with energy saving jikos have installed them and now they are using less wood fuel, therefore having time to undertake other activities.
Capacity building for households in areas of farm management and small livestock keeping is ongoing, to ensure increased quality food production, which could lead to surplus being sold and the money used to cater for basic family needs.
We thank our donors and look forward to their kind contributions, to ensure more orphans are catered for.
