Dear Supporters,
We are excited to let you know that a puppy is currently undergoing a socialization program and will be a future assistance dog for brothers Leon and Renato. Their independence in performing their daily student duties would be maintained with the help of a new assistance dog, despite the motor difficulties caused by cerebral palsy.
As we have already written to you, Leon and Renato have faced the difficult loss of their beloved superhero, their assistance dog Fredi, who provided them with invaluable help, support, and affection during their formative years.
Unfortunately, due to the difficult diagnosis of a bone tumor, treatment did not help improve Fredi's health condition.
The training of the future assistance dog is expected to begin at the end of the year, following completion of socialization in the fall.
We are grateful for your assistance so far, and we hope you will continue to support us in our efforts to provide Leon and Renato with a new assistance dog!
