Hundreds of unpaid carers access activities

By Mark Bradford | Project leader

Thanks to your support and additional off-line fundraising, Carers Network is delighted to announce that we have successfully reached the target for this campaign.

Activities make a difference

The health and wellbeing activities have been particularly popular. Carers learnt about healthier nutrition, how to look after their own wellbeing and practised exercises to support them in their caring role. One participant described it as “an excellent course” and “a must for all carers.”

Carers have learnt and shared new skills during the storytelling workshops and in the singing group. And they have taken up crafting opportunities, such as embroidery.

Early next year, we plan to offer IT training for carers, not only in online shopping and banking but also in learning how to set up emails, including on a mobile phone.

Your generosity has helped make all this possible.

It cannot be said enough!

Thank you!

You have helped unpaid carers take a break from their caring duties and given them the chance to meet with others, have fun and learn practical skills while doing so.
