Gratitude to the Donors
Our thankfulness and gratitude to all the donors. Your donations enable us to deliver our project activities with positive impact to the lives of our service users. We are able to pay the teachers and reimburse our volunteers. Also, the donations facilitate the provision of transport support to some of the beneficiaries. We are very grateful to you for the help and prospect to up-skill and integrate our refugees/asylum seekers in our Liverpool community.

Fortuna from Eritrea said: When I came here I could not play any musical instrument but now I play Piano and read sheet-music, this is fantastic, thank you very much SD. Philomena from Liberia said: It’s a great experience to learn here and meet different people from different backgrounds and religions. I will like to get a professional certificate in music if SD can help me. Solange from Cameroon said: I enjoy the music class all the time and the English literacy/numeracy have changed my life, I am very happy. I will tell all my friends but I will like to get a good certificate too if possible. Elfey from Eritrea said: I decided to come and see things for myself because a friend told me about SD. I am learning new skills and speaking English better. I will like to get a good certificate, use it to work and teach music to new migrants. We are able to obtain these interesting feedbacks from the service users because of your generous donations and we are thankful to you all.
Skills Development, Evaluation & Referrals
With the universal language of music we are able to unite the refugees/asylum seekers who are from different countries and backgrounds. We motivate and provide them with lifelong skills for better chances in life. Monitoring and evaluation reveals that the activities we deliver enable them to integrate faster and gain skills in: (i) Functional literacy/numeracy to improve communication; (ii) Music/cultural songs to encourage social integration and recreation. (iii) Individual career-path development for education, jobs and small-business. (iv) Advocacy and referrals to other appropriate organisations. We aim to ensure our service users achieve skills nobody can take away from them, that they receive advocacy and tools to mentor new migrants and contribute positively to the community. Some project photographs are attached for your attention. Finally, we would like to use this opportunity to express our gratefulness to all the donors for their kindness which is assisting us to help migrants to achieve a better life.
