With 52 childen living at Hearts of Hope, and new children coming all the time, we seem to be at the dentist continually! The dentists are incredible with the children and help us tremendously by discounting their fees, but we can't expect them to treat them completely pro bono when we have 52 children!
A number of the little ones headed off to the dentist recently - 10 for their annual check-up and flouride, and 3 received further treatment for fillings.
One of the children, little 'U', arrived at Hearts of Hope with a chronic tooth infection and required an extraction at her first dental visit, whick left her petrified of dentists! But going again now for a cleaning and flouride, enabled her to have the treatment without any fear. due to the wonderful care of these dentists and dental technicians.
