We're Changing!

Big news! While we’ll be continuing to help vulnerable Filipino families stay healthy during and after the annual floods that affect their communities, we’ll be using a new fundraising format here on GlobalGiving moving forward. As a consequence, we’ll be retiring this project on GlobalGiving.

Why retire a fundraising page for a project which is still on-going you ask? Great question.

With GlobalGiving’s new Micro Project feature, it’s easier and more effective for us to raise the funds we need for our health work via a series of smaller Micro Projects under one of our larger projects - “Help Filipino Communities Prepare for Disaster”. Micro Projects are exactly like general projects on GlobalGiving except they’re smaller and have only 90 days to reach their funding target.

Fundraising via a series of smaller Micro Projects rather than this main project gives us greater flexibility to fundraise for exactly what communities need when they need it. This means we will be able to respond to community needs more effectively and spend more time on the frontline developing projects!

From now on, we’ll be providing updates on how we’re helping Filipino disaster survivors stay healthy via “Help Filipino Communities Prepare for Disaster”. You can check out that page for updates.

Alternatively, if you’d still like updates on our health work here in Banaba straight to your inbox just email Emma@IDVolunteers.org and we’ll put you on our mailing list. As always, if you have any questions about how we’re using your funds don’t hesitate to email the above address. We’d be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks so much for supporting health care and education for disaster survivors, and we hope you’ll enjoy our new fundraising format here on GlobalGiving!
Very Kind Regards,
Emma
