Provide Scholarships for 20 Ugandan Girls

Stella is one of five children and when her father died at a very young age, her family began to struggle to make ends meet financially. She was brought to the HALO Mengo Home in 2009 at the age of 9. Over the years, Stella proved her potential through her education and was selected to attend HALO's longtime partner Cornerstone's Leadership Academy in 2017.

Now, at the age of 19, Stella is in Senior 5 at the Academy high school. She is very driven in school and is excited to see what her future holds. It is obvious her hard work is paying off because she was selected among many applicants to attend this leadership academy and through this school, she will have no trouble finding her own success when she finishes her education. Meet Stella. She is 18 years old and attends the Cornerstone Leadership Academy, a longtime partnership with HALO. She came up through our HALO Gulu Girls home. She is now in Senior 5, and we are so proud of her.

A brief background on Stella. Her father died of typhoid when she was young and her mother then could not afford to pay for the basic needs for her five children. For a few years, they struggled but then found help in the HALO Gulu Girls home. She was not going to school, but because of these donations, she is now succeeding in school and has a bright future. Her humble spirit makes her stand out among the others. We appreciate your support to invest in our youth.
