Dear Friends and Donors
It’s with great pleasure and gratitude that I am sharing positive results of our “Give Haitian Girls a Choice to Safety from COVID-19” project.
Over the past three months, Haiti has experienced a major drop in COVID-19 infections. This situation has encouraged the resumption of weekly group meetings through safe spaces; a core component of the asset-building girl program.
Thanks to your generous support, the mentors can not only meet the girls face-to-face while respecting barrier gestures against COVID-19, but also remotely by sharing useful information on the evolution of the pandemic, prevention of gender-based violence and advice on life skills.
However, times are still uncertain for our girls in Haiti. The humanitarian situation is at its worse due to gang violence and economic crisis. Our girls experience great insecurity and are at risk of sexual violence. So, your financial support continues to be very important in helping our girls stay safe and cope with the current humanitarian crisis in the country.
Thank you so much for your support and please, continue to help us by sharing our project in your network to raise the remaining funds.
With my deepest gratitude.
