Dear Friends and Donors
While 2021 is coming to an end, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to all our generous support. Thanks to your support, adolescent girl’s lives are slowly coming back to normal in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In fact, we have provided psychosocial support for over 1,500 adolescent girls. Also, we have provided relief emergency support including food, face masks, sanitizers and cash voucher for economic recovery. More than 25 mentors have strengthened their capacities in new technologies and communication. They are now organizing remote meetings with girls in order to strengthen their capacities on sexual and reproductive health, financial literacy, prevention of gender-based violence, children’s and Covid-19 prevention measures. So, our mentors became our very strong contact on the ground.
But we can’t continue all this important work without your support. The financial difficulties in Haiti are dire, all due to lost jobs and a lack of any aid from the Government. Currently, the country is facing alarmingly high rates of violent crime and mass displacements. Unfortunately, adolescent girls are at the most elevated risks of sexual violence. So, our communities and girls need our help more than ever.
Help us spread the word to help collect the remaining funds. Please consider sharing with your friends, colleagues, and networks.
The HAGN team wish you Happy Holidays and the best for the New Year!
With our warmest gratitude.
