Dear Donors,
Greetings from BREADS Bangalore! We are happy to come once again with new information of our project supported through your generous help!
We are happy to inform you that with the support from you through GlobalGiving fund raising platform, another 10 girls were assisted in addition to the previous support for 144 girls during this year. All the girls are rehabilitated from the child labour situations. About 10 children are undergoing remedial education from our child labour rehabilitation centers and others were already admitted to formal schools to pursue their formal education! Among the sponsored children 38 students, appeared for the SSLC exams (Class X exams). Out of these 12 came out with first class and among them four secured more than 70%, 9 with second class and 9 passed the exams.
We can proudly and gratefully say that our motto “Educate 100 rescued girl child labourers” has made considerable changes in the life of less privileged girls in our 6 projects spread across the North Karnataka Region in India. We assured that 100% of the funds received through GlobalGiving have reached only to the most deserving children.
In the month of April all our rehabilitation centres have conducted one month summer camps for the children with lots of learning, talent promotion and entertainment programmes. This camp helped the children to come out from their inhibitions, trauma situation, and nurture the values of team building, group dynamism and personal growth. The camp was filled with lots of input sessions, training on spoken English, computer skills, talent promotion, competition and with lots of group building activities, games and fun. All the children supported under GlobalGiving project also participated and enjoyed the camp days.
We are sure that support from you and your family has created a new life for the less privileged children by ways of better nutrition, health care, education and recreational opportunities. This has given an opportunity for inclusive growth for the socially excluded children and makes them to dream for a better future. Flowers of gratitude and appreciation extended to you from the hearts of the children, Don Bosco Projects and BREADS.
Your support and partnership will surely actuate us to reach more children with support services for their education and regain the childhood.
