Wheelchair Drive in Larkana
By Maleeha Fatima | Senior Associate - External Engagement
Under the pillar of Falah, NOWPDP provides wheelchairs and other assistive devices to individuals who need them the most. Through extensive outreach efforts, our teams have identified some of the most vulnerable persons with disabilities (PWDs) from marginalized regions of Sindh.
Thanks to your generous contributions over the past few months, we were able to provide four wheelchairs to PWDs in Larkana. These individuals face dual marginalization, as poverty and disability intersect to create significant barriers to their well-being. Most families in these regions lack the financial means to acquire essential assistive devices such as wheelchairs.
Assistive devices play a vital role in empowering PWDs, restoring their mobility, and enabling access to healthcare and economic opportunities. By enhancing their mobility, NOWPDP is actively fostering inclusion and enabling PWDs to participate in society as equal citizens.
Your continued support is crucial to helping us expand this mission across Pakistan, empowering more PWDs with the tools they need to lead independent and dignified lives. Together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable future.

Wheelchair Distribution Drive
By Naveen Khan | Associate-Resource Mobilization
Gift of mobility to 60 persons with disabilities
Under the pillar of Falah (Welfare), NOWPDP focuses on providing identified and deserving persons with disabilities (PWDs) with assistive devices such as wheelchairs or hearing aids. This action does not only enhance the basic mobility of PWDs but also improves their standard of living and uplifts the spirits with the hope of self-reliance and ultimate empowerment.
With your generous support and contribution during the last few months, we were able to further provide 8 PWDs including two school going aged children and six adults, with quality wheelchairs. The beneficiaries belonged to various underdeveloped areas of Rawalpindi, facing challenges in mobility and independence. The wheelchairs became a ray of hope to the families and the beneficiaries as an ease in their daily routine tasks.
It is only through your donations that we are able to continue our mission of providing mobility to those who need it most. Your contributions have made a significant and lasting impact on the lives of these children with disabilities who now have the opportunity to pursue alternative paths to empowerment.
We hope that you can continue to support us in providing PWDs with mobility thereby transforming their lives and the lives of their family members.
