Many rural children in rural Tamil Nadu struggle to continue their education due to poverty and family hardships. They are children of single parents, widows, and individuals affected by HIV, disability, or alcoholism. Families with unstable incomes often migrate for work, leaving children with limited care, poor nutrition, and disrupted schooling. Without access to basic school supplies like notebooks, pens, erasers, and geometry boxes, these children face difficulties focusing in class.
This project seeks to bridge these gaps by providing the necessary school supplies for children, fostering an environment where they can concentrate on their studies without additional worries. These seemingly minor provisions can contribute meaningfully to their mental and emotional health, boosting their confidence and overall academic performance. 1300 children studying in grades 6 to 12 The kit consists of Note books, pen, pencil, eraser, sharpener, scale, geometry box, etc. 7 USD per Child
For families-especially single mothers, widows, and caregivers-the project eases financial stress, strengthens motivation to keep children in school, and fosters hope for a better future. Educated children become role models within their communities, breaking cycles of poverty and vulnerability. In the long run, this simple act of providing school supplies contributes to social inclusion, gender equality, and community development.
