Emergency Flood Relief (Food) in slums of Chennai
 
Heavy rainfall in almost all parts of Chennai, especially the slum areas of Saidapet (Valathottam, Panagal maligai, Burma Tamilar Colony, KK Nagar, Madavakarai, Narasingapuram, Ambedkar Nagar) whose population are mostly sanitary workers has severely crippled normal life in the city. The situation has worsened in suburban areas of Tambaram and Mudichur. Community Based Home for underprivileged children
 
Our main aim is to support children who are affected / infected with HIV AIDS, who belong to aged parents, migrants, alcoholic parents, children who are orphans, single parent and abandoned a secured future and help them with their denied rights - food, education and proper clothing. Our RESIDENTIAL HOME will continue to work as a Community Based Home i.e,children will stay with their parents&financial support (expenses pertaining to nutritional, educational, medical, toiletry) will be offered project reportread updates from the field
Cyclone Vardah
 
The recent cyclonic storm Vardah in Chennai followed by heavy rainfall had uprooted thousands of trees and electricity posts leaving the city in complete darkness. All communications were stopped. The major affected areas were the north coastal areas of Chennai , Tiruvallore and Kancheepuram district in Tamilnadu. People were evacuated to safety areas while Educational institutions were closed down due to the severe storms.
