Excavation On-going for Science Wing's Footing
By Dean Sinco | Project Leader
![]()
As of this time, plans for the Foundation Preparatory Academy high school building and the Science Wing are being merged by the architects.
Specifically, the FPA Science Wing will become the extension of the high school building. Its location was formerly the alumni house which has been demolished months ago to give way for the construction of the FPA Science Wing.
For the construction team, they are currently focused on excavation work for the footing.
FPA Science Wing soon will contribute to a greater purpose for the youth and the community since the facility will ignite the interest and open the minds of students to explore further the world of science and its several related disciplines.
In the near future, students from FPA will take on professions such as: doctors, nurses, chemist, biologists, agriculturists or pursue other professions related to science and technology. These individuals will serve for the benefit of the greater community since they serve the needs of the people.

Science Wing Project Prepares for Next Phase
By Dean Sinco | Project Leader
![]()
The new academic year is about to open by June. This will also mean the influx of new learners especially at Foundation Preparatory Academy – the basic education arm of the University.
As the country’s education system puts emphasis on the sciences, the institution as well, thinks in line with the same goal. It is quality science education that drives the institution to pursue the FPA Science Wing in order to render quality and state of the art science education to students.
As the project is about to begin a new phase, the demolition of exit stairs is about to be finished. This is an initial step for the work on the ramps and restrooms to commence by June. The said portion will be completed by November this year. And by August, the work on the science laboratories and rooms will begin by August.
The completion of the said project will not only help the school to improve its system but will also contribute to the greater community as potential scientists and technology inventors will be produced. These individuals will soon take the lead in helping communities improve the quality of life especially through the use of their knowledge and sciences.

Construction Work Begins for the Facade
By Dean Sinco | Project Leader

As the construction resumes for the Foundation Preparatory Academy Science Wing, the concentration of the work is on the frontage of the building. This will begin the process of creating a new look for the facade of Foundation University’s north campus which is home to the basic education arm – Foundation Preparatory Academy.
Just recently, the latest work being pursued is the construction of the Science Wing Entrance Canopy and that includes the fabrication of canopy steel structure and pouring of concrete slab “walkway.”
With the latest development, there is an on-going consultation with the City Engineer’s Office of Dumaguete regarding the wires that are located in the front of the north campus. Aside from being an eyesore, this poses a big threat to the safety of students and the community as whole who are passing through Dr. Miciano Road every single day.
Also, there are updates being done on the drawings and details of the Foundation University High School drop-off area – which will be the next part of the said construction work.
