New Equipment in Peru
VIDA is excited to announce that Peru's Ministry of Health has entered into a partnership with VIDA to facilitate the customs clearance and in country distribution of medical equipment and medical supplies to the communities devestated by the floods. This partnership is reducing the international shipping costs by 40% and will eliminate all costs for shipping inside Peru. This means that your support will help more people than ever before. This develoment along with the increase in donations from hospitals accross California will enable VIDA to ship a record number of containers to Peru in 2018. As this report is being written, there are two containers on the water and one airlift of much needed medicines is set to happen on July 20th. Thank you for your continued generosity!

VIDA thanks GlobalGiving donors for your support! VIDA has made a total of 22 shipments (ocean and air) carrying nearly $20 million in aid in response to the tragic flooding that destroyed over 100,000 homes and 300 plus hospitals/clinics.
This project would not be possible without the generous support of Stanford Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente and John Muir Hospital. Their generous donations of medical supplies and equipment has brought care and comfort to hundreds of thousands of people.
VIDA looks forward to continuing this project.

Hospital Beds Bound for Peru
Four containers carrying 96 hospital beds, 12 birthing beds, 72 exam tables along with walkers, canes, crutches, wheelchairs and hundreds of boxes of medical supplies will be on the water beginning January 17, 2018. These containers are part of a long-rebuild of the destroyed healthcare infrastructure throughout Peru as a result of the devastating floods of 2017.
VIDA thanks GlobalGiving donors for your support! VIDA has made a total of 12 shipments (ocean and air) carrying nearly $12 million in aid in response to the tragic flooding. 800,000 homeless, 300 plus hospitals/clinics destroyed and the infrastructure is devastated - roads and bridges washed out and entire communities swept clean.
VIDA is working with our partners and the government to help rebuild the healthcare infrastructure. The government is dedicating transportation resources to transport the aid to the impacted communities and we are ramping up our efforts. These upcoming shipments will bring our total shipments to 16 valued at nearly $14 million.
VIDA looks forward to continuing this project with the help of the GlobalGiving community.
