5 more containers carrying hospital beds, birthing beds, ICU beds, exam tables along with walkers, canes, crutches, wheelchairs and over 1,000 of boxes medical supplies have been shipped between February 1rst and April 10th of 2018 with a value of over $2.5 million. These containers are part of a long-rebuild of the destroyed healthcare infrastructure throughout Peru as a result of the devastating floods of 2017.
VIDA thanks GlobalGiving donors for your support! VIDA has made a total of 22 shipments (ocean and air) carrying nearly $20 million in aid in response to the tragic flooding that destroyed over 100,000 homes and 300 plus hospitals/clinics.
This project would not be possible without the generous support of Stanford Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente and John Muir Hospital. Their generous donations of medical supplies and equipment has brought care and comfort to hundreds of thousands of people.
VIDA looks forward to continuing this project.
