Three Shipments on the Water to Peru!

VIDA thanks GlobalGiving donors for your support! VIDA has made a total of nine shipments (ocean and air) carrying nearly $10 million in aid in response to the tragic flooding.  800,000 homeless, 300 plus hospitals/clinics destroyed and the infrastructure is devastated - roads and bridges washed out and entire communities swept clean.

VIDA is working with our partners and the government to help rebuild the healthcare infrastructure.   The government is dedicating transportation resources to transport the aid to the impacted communities and we are ramping up our efforts.

To that end, VIDA is making 12 additonal shipments by sea and air to Peru over the next 12 weeks. We are excited to announce that three of four containers has left the VIDA warehouse carrying $1,000,000 in aid!

We are in the process of securing funding for the next 8 containers and appreciate the support of the GlobalGiving community!
