Network for Human and Social Development appreciates the donations by our benevolent donors and also to our collaboration partners Air University, La Compte and Reach to be Heard, for their continual support as part of the Flood Response 2025.
Mandi Bahauddin is a district in Central Punjab and was severely impacted during the 2025 Floods. A substantial population continues to be affected by the floods and even after the water receeded, these populations are vulnerable to the elements because they do not have any protection. The majority of these populations continue to be impacted by the floods as they have lost livestock, crops, and some have even lost their houses and their belongings.
The area has also been impacted by theft and dacoits, a phenomenon which has been noted in South Punjab, but is not that severe in Mandi Bahauddin. It has been reported but it has been noted that it was contained to a substantial extent.
The response in Mandi Bahuddin has been focused towards providing the affected victims with quilts and food rations, so that they can subsist and be protected against the elements. The worst affected populations were gathered during the distribution.
NHSD also noted their concerns regarding the devastating impact they have felt as a consequence of the floods, and are appreciative of this support and send their prayers to the donors, whose benevolence ensured that they continue to be able to survive this traumatic experience.
NHSD is once again grateful to you, benevolent donor, for your generosity and support and empathy. We are committed towards ensuring that the people continue to have support.
