NHSD conducted a flood response in Alipur, a district in South Punjab near the border of Sindh. It was significantly and substantially impacted by the 2025 floods and especially the population, who are already living below the poverty line, are now significantly dropping further into socioeconomic depression. NHSD response was focused towards ensuring that a fraction of the population is provided emergency supplies.
NHSD was limited by the funding provided in addressing all of the members of the affected population of Alipur; however, taking into account the noticable absence of government response in the area brought about by the socioeconomic circumstances of the country, followed up with the economic burden that has been placed on the country as a result of the recent rise in inflation and the contracting economic output of the country, the role of suppoorting the local population befell NGOs.
NHSD is grateful to our patrons for their constant support of our cause and for constantly providing their appreciation of our work.
NHSD is also preparing again for the winter rains as well as winter distribution of quilts and blankets to ensure that the local population needs are taken into account.
Further details are included in the report which has photos emphasizing the dire circumstances of the population.
NHSD will continue to update our donors about the work that has been completed in the area.
