NHSD conducted a flood response in Khanewal. Alongside Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Jallalpur Multan, and Alipur, this district was also significantly impacted by the floods and had substantial economic loss. The worst affected areas during the 2025 floods included South Punjab, where in addition to abject poverty forcing the population into having limited livelihood options, they are now driven into debt and economic hardships as a consequence of the floods which caused their only sources of income to cease existing - crops, livestock, all were washed and purged by the floods.
A section of the population was provided food rations by NHSD which was made possible by our donors. Our field staff ensured that in all responses, the most vulnerable populations were given their support and were allowed to have significant support in this regard.
NHSD is grateful to our donors and will update them on further progress.
