REPORT TITLE: EXPOSURE VISIT FOR CLIMATE MANAGERS.
PROJECT TITLE:FLOOD DISASTER RESPONSE AT TAMILNADU,S.INDIA.

PROJECT THEME:MUSHROOM CULTURE.
MUSH ROOM CULTURE: At Ayyanadaippu and Poobalarayapuram areas of Thoothukudi District Disaster & Risk Management Training First Aid Training were provided for the people in these areas. Being continued that they asked us to provide them some handicraft Entrepreneurship training. We asked them what training they were in need of. Also we asked them if they had not done any work so far. They replied as that they were working at some shops. It was known they had no regular income for them. They felt that they had no any protection for their children. Also they said that they had no person to look after their children. That is why they are meeting many problems. In this situation because of the rain flood occurred during the year 2015 they met many defects in their areas. Houses demolished, many household articles damaged. That is why they are meeting many problems. In this situation because of the rain flood occurred during the year 2015 they met many defects in their areas. Houses demolished, many household articles damaged. That is why they felt very hard to run their lives. Therefore they earnestly requested us to provide them some entrepreneurship training. We asked them about their interesting entrepreneurship. They replied as to allot any of the entrepreneurship for them. We informed them about the various types of Entrepreneurship training programmes. We told them in detail about ornamental Fish culture, Vermi compost Training and Mushroom culture. They were interested. Description of that mushroom culture training is as follows: In a big vessel half measure water was poured. Then hay was put into that and the same was boiled. When it was spread upon the tarpaulin sheets or it can be spread upon the mats. There a polythene cover was taken and mushroom seeds were also collected. In polythene cover a certain quantity of roled hay was kept up. Following that upon the hay some mush seeds were sprinkled. In this manner five times this process was done. Then the cover was tied up tightly with a thread. In this manner many polythene covers were made ready. Then they were hanged up on the strings tied up with in the hut made for mushroom culture. That hut must be always in cooling condition. That is very important. In this manner mushroom culture training was provided to them. Then they were involved deeply in that mushroom culture training programme It was not necessary for them to go away. In that manner we provided them the entrepreneurship training at their homes themselves. People in these areas were much rejoiced. They were astonished and fold as that they had not known any work for their livelihood, but they were very thankful as we provided them the mushroom culture training programme. In order to encourage them further we took them KVK Mushroom culture training centre, Vagaikulam and it was shown and explained in which manner mushroom culture is performed and what is the maintenance to be provided to get good yield continually in mushroom culture Farm. Necessary explanations were offered to them. Then we provided them training about marketing the mushroom in different areas such as super markets, Tiffin centers, Fast Food centers and Tourist centers etc. All women who participated in this training programme were very glad about this training programme and they are very much thankful to the GlobalGiving and Chevalier Roche Society.
