In order to support the Government efforts to stop human trafficking, from 2019 EJO TWIFUZA organization initiated a Project of fighting the Injustice of Human Trafficking in Rwanda.
So, I am glad to present the EJO TWIFUZA Annual Activities Report 2025.
From October 2024 to December 2025 the Organization intercepted 268 potential victims from human trafficking, 24 Cases of suspected traffickers are in Investigation processes, 18 volunteers are trained, more than 3,611 people are educated on human trafficking in Schools and community-based and 12 Strategic transit sites are monitored in which 8 sites are in Rwanda and 4 in the Northern Kivu in the DRCongo.
This justifies that the results from our works is that From October 2019 up to December 2025 the Organization intercepted 486 potential victims from human trafficking, 4 suspected criminals are arrested and convinced, 24 Cases of suspected traffickers are in Investigation processes, 28 volunteers are trained. More than 12,123 people are educated on human trafficking in Schools and community and 12 Strategic transit sites are monitored in which 8 sites are in Rwanda and 4 in the Northern Kivu in the DRCongo. The details of the activities of 2025 are in the following sections.
In order of prevention and increase our intercepts and arrests, we intend to continue growing our impact by opening additional stations in the country, reinforce the Districts efforts on reducing vulnerabilities faced by communities at risk of human trafficking through socio-economic development support as well as expanding our anti-trafficking collaboration efforts with other human right civil society organizations across the region.
We are so proud of the deep investment support and hard work of RIB and Rwanda National Police staffs and local leaders for their help in the hardworking support to our staffs and volunteers in the activities of victim’s interceptions and anti-human trafficking Investigations.
We acknowledge that of none of this is possible without God.
