Dear donor,
A significant transformation is taking place in the communities we serve: parents are increasingly becoming frontline defenders in the fight against child marriage. Through community mentorship, family dialogue and awareness sessions, parents are gaining knowledge about the dangers of marrying children too early and the importance of protecting education and childhood.
Previously, some families viewed early marriage through the lens of tradition, poverty or social expectations. Today, more parents are questioning those beliefs and recognizing that protecting a daughter’s education can create a stronger future for the entire household. Parents are learning to identify warning signs, communicate more openly with their children and seek assistance when a child is at risk.
Our work does not focus only on girls. We deliberately bring families into the conversation because sustainable child protection requires collective responsibility. A girl can be empowered through mentorship, but that empowerment becomes stronger when her parents stand beside her.
Donor support has enabled us to take these conversations directly into communities, creating safe spaces where parents can ask questions, challenge harmful practices and learn practical ways of protecting children.
The growing involvement of parents demonstrates that community change is possible when people are given information, encouragement and the opportunity to participate.
We invite donors and partners to continue investing in family-centered child protection. When parents become protectors, homes become safer, girls remain in school and communities become stronger. Your support helps transform awareness into action and action into lasting protection for children.
