Dear donor,
Teenage pregnancy can significantly disrupt a girl’s education, limit her future opportunities, and increase the pressures faced by her family. In underserved communities, the risks are often intensified by poverty, limited access to accurate information, peer pressure, and inadequate guidance. F SSIBU Mission Foundation’s Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Program takes a proactive, community-based approach to helping girls remain in school and make informed decisions about their futures.
Through mentorship and guidance, girls are provided with trusted adults and positive role models who encourage them to set educational and personal goals, build self-confidence, and seek support when facing difficult situations. The program also promotes age-appropriate sexual and reproductive health awareness, equipping young people with accurate information that helps them understand healthy choices, personal boundaries, and the potential consequences of early sexual activity and pregnancy.
Our approach extends beyond the classroom. We engage parents, caregivers, teachers, and community members to strengthen communication and create a supportive environment in which girls can safely discuss challenges affecting their education and wellbeing. By involving families and the wider community, we address not only individual knowledge gaps but also the social and economic factors that can place girls at greater risk.
For donors, supporting this program is an investment in prevention, education, and opportunity. Every girl who remains in school has a stronger chance to complete her education, develop valuable skills, pursue meaningful employment, and contribute positively to her community.
Your support helps us move from responding to teenage pregnancy after it occurs to preventing it through education, mentorship, family engagement, and early intervention. Together, we can help more girls stay in school, protect their potential, and build futures defined by opportunity rather than circumstances.
