Sexual and Reproductive Health Education Workshops are designed to equip young people and teenagers with accurate, age-appropriate knowledge and practical skills that enable them to make informed and responsible decisions about their health and future. The workshops provide a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where participants can openly discuss issues that affect their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Sessions cover important topics such as puberty and body changes, personal hygiene, menstrual health, healthy relationships, consent and personal boundaries, prevention of sexually transmitted infections, HIV prevention, pregnancy prevention, and the importance of seeking appropriate health information and services. The workshops also address common myths, misinformation, peer pressure, stigma, and harmful social attitudes that can place young people at risk.
Through interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, group activities, role plays, storytelling, and practical demonstrations, participants are encouraged to actively engage in their learning rather than simply receive information. Mentors create opportunities for teenagers to express their concerns and ask questions without fear of judgment or discrimination.
The program particularly seeks to reach vulnerable and underserved youth who may have limited access to reliable sexual and reproductive health information. By strengthening knowledge and confidence, the workshops help young people recognize risks, develop healthy decision-making skills, understand where to seek help, and plan positively for their education and future.
For donors and partners, investing in these workshops means investing in prevention, knowledge, dignity, and opportunity. By reaching young people early with accurate information and supportive mentorship, the program contributes to healthier choices, stronger families, continued education, and improved opportunities for young people to achieve their potential.
