Keep her in school

For this young boy, going back to school was becoming a dream he could no longer afford to hold onto.

Poverty had placed his family in an extremely difficult situation. When the new school term began, he could not return because the family was unable to meet the costs of school fees and other essential necessities. While other children walked back into classrooms, he remained at home—not because he lacked the desire to learn, but because circumstances had taken away his opportunity.

Through the generosity of our donors, we were able to reach him before another school term was lost. We helped address some of the urgent needs that were keeping him away from education and supported his return to school.

The impact goes far beyond providing school requirements.

This boy has regained hope. He has regained his confidence. He has regained his place among his classmates. Most importantly, he has regained an opportunity to learn, grow and dream about a better future.

What could have become another year of missed education has instead become a new chapter of possibility.

For us, this is what meaningful support looks like. A donor’s contribution can become a pair of shoes, school materials, meals, fees, counselling or another essential need—but behind every item is a child whose future is being protected.

For too many children in vulnerable communities, poverty begins shaping their lives long before they understand what poverty means.

A child may grow up without enough food, adequate clothing, school materials or stable support at home. As household struggles increase, children can become responsible for helping their families survive. School attendance becomes irregular, learning is interrupted and childhood gradually gives way to responsibilities no child should carry alone.

In Eastern Uganda, F SSIBU Mission Foundation is committed to standing beside these children.

Our work focuses on identifying vulnerable children, understanding the challenges affecting their lives and connecting them with practical support that can help restore safety, dignity and opportunity.

Through Nurture 200 Dreams, Give a Child a Chance, donor support helps us provide assistance that addresses both immediate needs and longer-term development. Children can receive support with education, food and basic necessities while also benefiting from psychosocial encouragement, community outreach and nurturing environments.

We believe every vulnerable child deserves more than emergency assistance.

They deserve someone who sees their potential.

They deserve an opportunity to sit in a classroom without wondering where their next meal will come from. They deserve shoes on their feet, learning materials in their hands and adults who encourage them to keep dreaming.
